Adding en_US.utf8 locale to an Ubuntu

sudo localedef –no-archive -i en_US -c -f UTF-8 en_US.UTF-8


locale -a

C
en_US.utf8
POSIX

For the next time you log into the server the following two lines have to vi added to /etc/environment

LANGUAGE=”en_US.utf8″
LANG=”en_US.utf8″
